I am so thankful for the opportunity to have served as associate pastor at Valley Creek for the last two and one-half years. Valley Creek has been a place of great personal growth and healing. Yet, it is time to start a new chapter. I have sensed very strongly that God is leading me back into the role of senior pastor.
My family and I have come to know so many great people at Valley Creek, and we look forward to continuing those relationships long after we leave. Valley Creek is filled to the brim with people that love the Lord. Even as I began my search for a senior pastor position, I was looking for a church that exemplified that same love. The unity that exists here is truly a gift from God.
I commend you as a church for your constant effort to seek the Lord’s direction. As I have also sought the Lord’s direction, God has led me to Spartanburg, South Carolina. We have found a great church with people that remind me of you. My family and I begin our journey in South Carolina on Easter. I’m very excited, but I will also admit that there some nerves that accompany a transition like this. I know that it will take some time to get into the right rhythm in Spartanburg. For that reason, I appreciate all your prayers.
