At one point in Jesus' ministry, some men tried to stoned him. These men literally had the rocks in their hands. Jesus escaped and goes back “to the place where John had been baptizing in the early days” (John 10:40). There is something very special about going back to a place of nostalgia. Jesus went back to the place where his public ministry began. Now as his public ministry is drawing to a close, he goes back to that place anticipating the cross. When life gets tough, go back to that place where God was really speaking and drawing you in the early days. Even if circumstances prevent you from going back, what is that place for you?
